Spencer is a Florida native who graduated from The University of Michigan in 2019 with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre. Throughout his four years at Michigan, he performed in five main stage productions including the World premiere of One Hit Wonder directed by Hunter Foster.

Shortly after graduating, Spencer joined the “year 3” cast of the Broadway production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Originally apart of the 2-part version, he never got to bring it to the stage because of the pandemic. When Broadway made its return in 2021, Spencer re-joined the cast and undertook the massive task of making it into the 1-part show that is still running on Broadway today. He spent two years with the company; his first as an on-stage understudy covering all 4 male students and Scorpius Malfoy. His second year, he took over as James Potter Jr./Sr./Cedric Diggory and maintained his Scorpius Malfoy understudy responsibilities. He left the production in November 2023.

Since “graduating” Hogwarts, Spencer has performed regionally at Ogunquit Playhouse as “Rolf” in The Sound of Music and at Pittsburgh CLO and Kansas City Starlight as “Tony” in West Side Story. As well as “Ren McCormack” in Footloose at Arkansas Repertory Theatre.

When not on the stage, Spencer can be found with his Partner, Griffin, and their two cats playing PS5 or watching the latest greatest movie or tv shows. Or, finding the next best restaurant to add to his Beli app.
